Well, if it's shipements (which it must be), they could be spot on, obviously MW2 is gonna be on every shelf available, Halo 3? not so much.

They may well have shipped more. I doubt they mean sold to gamers.

VGC doesn't have them too far apart, and considering the pace at which MW2 is catching up it is inevitable that it will pas Halo 3. They are probably just working from approximate numbers and anticipating that it will soon be the best selling x360 game.
