i dont see this actually happening, since m$ has the 1st option on all bungie games. that is in their contracts when bungie went back to being independant. plus m$ still owns a percentage of bungie anyways, they could always just buy them out. then the ppl would have to start up a new company and basically start anew.

Bungie has enough to produce on the PS3, i think that it would be a good idea since they are independent. It isnt like Microsoft is going to say okay cancel the Halo games

Sony owning Santa Monica and Microsoft not owning Bungie is a pretty big difference to call it "the exact same scenario". :)

I didn't actually see "PS3 is an option" in there. Who the hell knows, a PC game is more likely.

Bungie's done with Halo after Reach anyway, that's why they went independent and why Microsoft formed 343 Industries.

Bungie can really do anything they want at this point, they have the cash, they have the talent, they have the prestige.  That said, their audience is chiefly on 360 and they've had one of the better partners in the industry with Microsoft (compare/contrast Infinity Ward's shitstorm with Activision to see just how badly these things can go).  There's benefits to doing a PS3 (or multiplatform) game certainly, but I'm not sure if they really would outweigh the benefits of doing a 360 game (even exclusively).  Bungie doesn't need 360 by any means, but the truth is they need PS3 even less...

I'm sure they can't make Halo, but they can create a new IP which is similar to Halo, and I'm sure it will be great.

I think a PC game is more likely than a PS3 game from Bungie, I mean MS have first right of refusal and a stake in Bungie. I can't imagine MS turning down the chance to publish a Bungie game but I also can't imagine them publishing it on PS3, although that'd be funny to see
