Forums - Gaming Discussion - Have you played the BEST games of all time ???

Final Fantasy VII is the best game ever, and yes I've played it. Many times.

Around the Network

Holy fagballs! I've only played a couple of these games, and by that I don't mean finished them. Space Invaders, Golden Eye and Ninja Gaiden. Lets just hope there are some Mario games in the last 60 places :)

Predictions for December 31st 2008:
Wii 38,000,000
DS 84,500,000
PS3 17,000,000
PSP 41,000,000
X360 23,000,000

99. Rayman 2: The Great Escape
96. Wave Race 64
91. Pilotwings
85. Mafia
81. Space Invaders
80. Ninja Gaiden Black
79. Secret of Mana
78. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
77. Star Fox

76. Final Fantasy VII
75. GoldenEye 007

10 games
Hey wait a sec this list only goes to 71 when is the rest of the list up

 Edit jumped over FFVII

Think twice before helping a friend in need.

Quake II - Over 1000 hours, including tournament Calibre play.
Bionic Commando - Just beat it
Alone in the Dark - Holy crap I played that in grade 4. About 70 hours total
Day of The Tentacle - Oh George Washington
Secret of Mana - Damn Sprite.
FFVII - I think I've made my position painfully clear. 60 hours played, 7 hours watched time attacked, that's enough for me
GoldenEye - One of 3 games I owned for N64

Also, I'm pretty sure I beat #27. Just throwing that out there.

See Ya George.

"He did not die - He passed Away"

At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.

99 Rayman 2: The Great Escape
98 Quake 2
87 Advance Wars
82 Syndicate
81 Space Invaders
79 Secret of Mana
78 The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
77 Starfox
76 Final Fantasy VII

67 Megaman 2

64 Total Annihilation

62 Wolfenstein 3D

Btw, these are played, not necessarily owned.

I am a PC gamer, and also have a NDS now, but without access to a Nintendo Wii until End of 2007.

Currently playing: Super Smash Brothers Brawl(Wii), Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer(DS), Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS), WiiFit(Wii)

Games Recently Beaten: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Normal; Very Hard after the next DLCs become available)

Reasons why FFVII isn't the best game ever:

1) Lego character models

2) Boring "press X, win" combat system

3) Incomprehensible story marred by translation issues

4) Annoying main character (and supporting characters, while I'm at it - the only one I actually liked was Cid.)

5) Graphics aged incredibly poorly

6) No actual "role-playing" involved

7) Not challenging at all; a trained monkey could beat it.

8) ...

In fact, FFVII wouldn't even make my top 100 best games of all time list. Nor my top 200, really. The only good part of the game was the ground-breaking pre-rendering work, especially in the first 8 or so hours (in Midgar).

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Oh wow, someone isn't allowed to have an opinion. Congratulations you have said someone's opinion is flase but then say your's is true. Now tell my why me thinking Kingdom Hearts is the best game ever is completely and utterly wrong.

Gasp! People are allowed to have opinions about other people's opinions TOO!! What sort of twisted world do we live in??

=P
