Forums - Nintendo - Started Final Fantasy The Crystal Bearers. Have you played it yet?

I loved the game, a little short... i just would've loved to play more of it

enjoyed it very much (surprisingly), the reviews made it out to be really bad or something but i thought is was a good game overall, would recomend it anyday. graphics are great, story and ending are pretty nice too, and once i got the hang of it, the combat was really enjoyable :p

After playing a while, I find the only weak point is the battle system. The game would be great with no real battles, and just a lot of mini-games (some perhaps combat based, like that machine gun one at the beginning) around the world.

I bought it, but traded it in before finishing it. I hated the controlls and lack of plot. To be honest I prefered Chrystal Chronicles for the GameCube big time. I didn't like Crystal Bearers despite getting it for 39.99$ compared to the regular price. Even on sale I didn't think the game was worth the money I spent.

"Lack of a plot"?

Are you SURE you played Crystal Bearers? Or are you thinking of the other Crystal Chronicles game (which I didn't play). That doesn't sound accurate.

i like the game overall
i was pretty surprised when i first opened it and saw the graphics - it's pretty crisp and clean
the game is pretty fun and has a good story, imo
i just didn't like the part where the yuke race dying out...
but i'm only about 2 hours into it (even though i bought it first day, LOL)

the battle system is different and i'm not really into that telekinesis gimmick...
it would've been better if lyle could've done something as he holds the items/person
like a combo, or something.. i mean i thought clavats can use swords (right?); or as he holds a stick he can actually fight with it like swing it instead of just throw...
also, there are some areas in the game where the battle is timed..
i ain't feeling that at all ~

in conclusion, it's cool game with crisp clean graphics, battle system is okay

although, i probably should sit and actually play it a little more, hahah

I'm still interested in playing it but currently I'm still waiting for a price drop, though. I don't feel ready to pay the full price for a game I'm not 100% sure of that I will like it.
