Forums - Nintendo - Will the 3DS allow us to watch 3D movies?

I would say yes. It didn't make sense in terms of doing it on the DS as it didn't bring any unique benefit to people. However BBC Iplayer, Netflix etc on Wii says otherwise and the ability to load 3D movies off flash cards isn't lost on Nintendo so I say yes.

Tease.

yeah what Squilli said if you guys look at what Nintendo is doing with the Wii then chances are that it might be able to play 3D movies. it will be unique and people might actually be more interested in it because of that feature... or not :P

I'd say if all rumours are true and they are using the screen technology fro Sharp, then the 3DS would be CAPABLE of it. However, whether it's a Nintendo feature or it's something that would be developed by homebrew would be a different matter.

I'd say we'll be seeing 3D FMV clips in games, though.

I think its unlikely, but as its a games console above all else, I doubt most of the people who buy it will mind, im definitley thinking about getting one when it comes out, regardless of movie playback.

It all depends on what exactly Nintendo means by 3D, and the method they're using.

Technological differences may preclude it, though you never know.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

they haven 't even showed a picture of it but watching avatar on 3DS is really awesome if you think it
