Hey guys,

I feel like asking this question as i was helping my fren buy a ps3 slim(getting one soon myself) and i discovered the fact that the 2.5" laptop HDD can be used as a hard drive for PS3..so i'm guessing they can use mount it on their PC/laptop and install hacks/editors(correct me if im wrong) to use it for their PS3?

So i want to ask if the cheaters and hackers are as rampant on PSN like on the games i play on PC.I really detested DOTA maphackers and wallhack/aimbot users on CS.

I'm asking this because it will help me determine whether i will get more JRPG/single player games for my game library.

I've mainly encountered them in MGO, and either they lagswitch, or they manipulate in-game glitches.

i mostly play call of duty games such as cod4, cod5, and mw2 and i havent really seen any hackers honestly. except of course the infamous cod4 ufo hack where people could fly around and kill you.  glitching isnt very common, but it happens though on cod games.  

It is now impossible to really Hack a PS3 unless your prepared to spend a few hundred USD on disc based software to BARELY get around the defenses...hacking is virtually non existent, as far as cheating...some people use IN GAME glitches to their advantage thats about it.

well, that's why I quit counter strike - I love the game, but with hackers on every damn server it's just no fun at all

on PSN there are no hackers ,only some glitch abusers, but unfortunately I have yet to find a game with the CS formula on PS3 (1 spawn per round)

I haven't noticed any cheating in Dota, though.

Isn't seek and destroy on COD/MW one spawn per round?

No they can not.

The PS3 reformats and encrypts the HDD as soon as you put it in and only that PS3 can read it ( another PS3 can not, even less a PC)

All I could get is game glitches in TF2 like making sentries on the wall walking through air and shooting but yeah :P
On Fat princess there was never a hack I saw :P
It handles lagers pretty cool unlike other games,
neither did I encounter any cheats in RFOM 1

The problems you mention (PC style hacks) are non existant in on PSN. Exploiting glitches is as common as any platform and rarely you do see a hacked save allowing things like the UFO exploit in COD4.
