I bought my 60 GB PS3 at the end of june 2007 for the full prize of €600,- (including an extra controller and two games)
I still works fine :)
3 of my friends got it in the month of the Euro launch 2007, so only partial BC.
2 died of YLOD one of which was repaired ain May 2009 and has been working fine since. The other around the time of the slim launch which he bought as a replacement.
The 3rd wouldn't play Blu-Rays and games after the ?1.41? FW update also replaced with a slim.

Got it December 2006. Paid $500 and my 60 GB is still going strong. Probably because I didn't use the thing for the first couple years cause there were no games I wanted!!!! But now God of War!!!!!!!!!
got mine in august of 2007 and cost me 600€... yolded on me for the first time about a month ago...

Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4
Bought mine in February 2008, 2nd hand from Gamestation for £325.
Broke 2 weeks ago, a day after I got A new HD tv to go with it and 5 days after the release of FFXIII. Issue with it is that it won't read any discs at all, don't want to start messing with it as I've no idea of the exact issue. Sony quoted me £131 to 'replace', haven't done anything with it yet.
Hmm, pie.

I'd be gutted if i lost my save games after all the hours you put into finishing them, especailly RPGs |
Same here. PS3 was first, then HD TV, bit later surround system. 320gb hd, play tv, ps eye and now lots of games and blu rays. before i got console i didnt need any of that.
mines fine, got it 3 years ago about oct 07 paid 480$ for it with my employee discount at a gamestop. originally 530$, never had any problems except on feb 29 2010 it decided not to get on the net lol.
Bought mine 3rd hand off my housemate October 2008 for £170 with 7 games and a controller. I think its a launch model, fully B/C with card readers and the works.
Not had a problem with it yet "touch wood" now got a collection of about 35 games for it and often use it for heavy sessions. Thinking about taking it apart, cleaning it up and putting some more thermal paste on it though.

I bought a 60gb within the first month of release in NA. It has broke many times and is currently sitting on a shelf since i refused to pay again to get it fixed. I had it repaired for overheating, YLOD, motherboard and Blu-ray drive breaking, system failure with the motherboard. Its problem right now is the system failing to show on the TV or failing to start up or starting up and only showing up for a bit and some other errors.
