Completed my third high rank bowgun set, rapid fire lightning, fire and ice... I kind of feel like Alateron.

I have no luck without my teammates =( Every team I'm with fails at fighting that guy, I blow up his wings, my job is done, but they can't seem to get his tail off until 30 minutes in. 40 minutes in I'm out of healing shots, 50 minutes in the last guy dies.

I'm left wondering wth was that all for.

I also made a LS and did double trouble, the hammer guy cracked Los's head after I did a combo to trip it. I turned to it's neck and 2 red combo's later los dies just as ian landed. I run up to Ian's leg with my red blade and 2 red combo's later she trips, did the same and she died.

First time I've ever downed them both in the same area without healing, only had to sharpen once.

I'll be online from 16:30 to 18:00 and from 20:00 to god knows how late.

I'm having trouble finding certain information online. When I look at the Wiki page, the weapons have something called 'awakening' and it usually adds some elemental damage. For example, the Barroth hammer has an 'awakening' of +240 poison. How do you 'awaken' your weapon? Also, how do you acquire '+' items, like for example, 'Baggi Hide+'? Is it random chance, or is there something else to it?

Rol the easiest way would of been to get HR 30 then get the + Basic Gear in melee/ranged form, it's cheap and gives high enough def, go back and get the stuff you wanted without going back to make a new character. I don't blame you though, starting low is fun when you know what your doing.

Nope, make sure you do all the" key quest " (http://monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/MH3%3A_Online_Quests) . Then the " Urgent Request " leading the charge ...kill Barroth one and you should be eligible to rank 9 after you beat it.
