SPOILERS!!

That son of a bi*** is too efin hard.  Barthandelus is easy as hell but orphan is an ass.  I get his life like half way thru and boom he kills me.  Does anyone have advice?  Please i really want to kill this bastard.

Prior to the battle, equip one or two Seraph Crown * to your party leader. Other than his instant death attack, he's actually a push-over. Make sure you use Combat Clinic (SEN/MED/MED) to heal whenever he does his ultimate attack

Where do i get the seraph crowns?  And yea I have Discretion i think it is.  Whenever he does his ultimate attack i just switch to discretion and heal myself.  I dont have a problem with his ultimate.  Its that fucking instant death attack.  He had 50,000 left and he fucking killed me with that shit.  There is another fight after that right?

You can't buy a Seraph crown, you'll have to make one from Cherub Crown (which are bought from B&W Outfiters). It takes 6 level ups and a Perovskite to upgrade it from * to Seraph Crown. It's worth it though, a Seraph crown * has over 60% Death resist. 

There's another fight yes, but it's easier than the first stage. 

Ok but there is one little problem.  I wasted all my gil in equipment that raises my life by 300 or 400 i forgot.  Still thank you for your advice.  
Do you recommend grinding?  I put a synergist in my party(hope) for this battle thinking he was going to help(which he did), but he doesnt have haste.  He just has protect, shell, and vigilance.  I need about 100,000-250,000 CP to get haste which will be a huge advantage.

Right as lestat said seraph crowns help

BUT I just used Vanille, light & Hope

Vanille cast poison which made everything easier

having all 3 on ravager build up stagger meter

having all 3 on medic really helps health

And by luck I beat him quickly...before he could use death on me.

Haste is completely worth it, I suggest you grind a bit. If you can defeat the Wladislaus enemies (the Cie'th with purple swords) prior to the entrance to the final boss area, they give you 32K CP per battle. That's the best spot to grind.

For gil grind, you can try to use the teleport to go back to the early area of chapter 13. There you can kill the Sacrifice enemies, which drop both Scarletites and Perfumes, which sell for 7K and 12K respectively. 

I used to have Light, Fang, and Vanille but then i took vanille out and put hope in.  I think ill have to take fang out of the party for this battle and put vanille back in.  After i grind a lil bit ill battle him again and hopefully i can beat him.  Ill try your paradigns just in case.  Thanks!

I staggered him, then removed 75% of its health in 1 stagger using aggression, so he never hit me with death

No problem.

I had Light, Fang & Hope as my main team

But I always died on that boss

I don't like vanille but I gave up my stubborness & got her

And everything worked

Its hard to believe what a difference having 3 medics at once heal the party makes & what a difference having 3 ravagers at one time makes

and vanille is a saboteur too, like fang....except vanille has poison!

So basicaly fang HAD to go even though she's my 2nd fav character in the game!
