I love how you call her "the wife". In Argentina (and I think in most spanish speaking countries) we sometimes call them "la bruja" (witch), which, at least in my case, shows not only respect but actually fear. :P

Anyway, if you mind my opinion, I think Batman is the right way to go.

That's what I do when "The Wife" takes herself off for a weekend. The games can wait.

But if you're going to insist on being a recluse then Batman or Mass Effect 2 - I slightly preferred Batman even with its flaws as it just felt like the best attempt at such a game yet and the VO for The Joker was the best VO work in 2009.

That's the kind of stuff I do when she's in town (some with her, some not).  >_>

I voted Batman. Just played through that game and it was unexpectedly awesome. Once I got used to the combat system I really started to feel awesome, and I spent hours upon hours to kick, batarang and throw my way through enemies.

Never really liked God of War, and though Mass Effect 2 is a great game, I don't want to touch it again after completing it. I've only played just enough of Gears of War 2 to know I don't want to touch the thing again, and Bioshock didn't really strike me as a good game either.

Out of all the ones you mentioned, Batman is the one I would most recommend based on my own experiences.
