Forums - Gaming - Motion controller (People saw this yet they see that)

Firstly that the title you see was just the top of my head so bear with it

Secondly, straight to the point, since the reveal of the MOVE people in the gaming circle have been looking down on it because it looks, feel and does the same thing like the Wii mote but that doesnot meanits the exact replica (take for example twins just because on the outside they look the same it does not mean on the inside they r the same) , now here comes Natal, how come its that only a few would voice out on how its a rip off or an upgrade version of the eyetoy which in fact its almost the same.

Why the f**king biasness dont people see it.

anyways i just wanted to see the responds here on what people think.

I dunno? Why do people say "I will never buy a ps3 or any sony product because sony BMG had DRM in some music cds which I never bought"?

People like to hate on sony.

Because "The Move" is almost an exact replica of the Wiimote. And the only similarities between Natal and the eyetoy are purely on the outside.

MS already has a webcam that can be used to play EyeToy type games with. Natal is something completely different to capture 3D movements of an entire body (or bodies). So if anything Natal is an upgrade of MS's own Vision camera.

Move is a rounded "wand" shape. Wii Remote is a block-like "Remote" shape. Move has a big coloured ball on the end. Wii Remote doesn't. Move needs a camera to work. Wii Remote doesn't. Move has a wireless Nunchuck. Wii Remote doesn't.

Eyetoy is a camera. Natal is a camera. Dream Eye came before Eyetoy, though so...

OT:
I have said this myself. I've seen a few people from the MS fanbase (most of them have been quiet about the whole thing though) try trolling on the PS Move for being a "Wii clone". Yet i will see those very same people defend Natal when it's time in the spotlight comes. Amusing really.

All I see is:  Move has a remote, Wii has a remote.  Move has a nunchuck, Wii has a nunchuck.  Move uses a camera, Wii uses a camera (in the Wiimote itself).

Eyetoy is a camera. Natal is a camera. Dream Eye came before Eyetoy, though so...

EyeToy is a camera.  MS Vision Cam is a camera.  Both only capture color changes in 2D space.  Natal is a Camera + Infrared pulse sensor for standard color change and 3D motion capture and microphone for voice input.  Also, Natal has the powerhouse software behind it that does all the complex calculations that neither EyeToy nor Vision Cam had.

Wii mote and Move do almost entirely the same things.  Both are 1:1 (with WM+), both have a very similar sports game package, the only thing different that Sony's can do is basically the video overlay stuff.

EyeToy and MS Vision Cam can do the same things.  But neither can capture 48 points on a persons body and track the movemonts of those points in 3D space, even in the dark.

And the only thing amusing is how certain people of the Sony fanbase deny the incredible similarities of Move and Wiimote, but try to generalize Natal and EyeToy to be the same when there are far more differences in both capabilities and hardware.

I meant in terms of what they do. There really isn't any difference(That I've seen) between the two.

So what you are saying is, Natal is sort of like an "upgrade" on the Eyetoy/ PS Eye?

Erm... Isn't that JUST what the PS Move is seen as over the Wii Remote...?

I think it's alot harder for people to understand that Natal and the Eye Toy are different only because we have seen nothing of Natal, all I've seen is some red ball demo and Milo (which looked staged). It's not easy to find differences between something when there is no solid evidence to support it.

I can say that Move and the Wiimote are similar because I have seen them in action and I can compare them, I can't say the same for Natal.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

There are obviously differences. All you need to do is look at the games already shown, Motion Fighter for example.

The Move being FULLY tracked on screen is another one. I can't throw the Wii Remote in the air and have it also registered on screen, AFAIK.

And as for a wireless Nunchuck, is it made by Nintendo? Never seen one around here. I want one for Zelda Wii though... May have to go searching.
