Forums - Nintendo - OGRE BATTLE 64 to hit EU Virtual Console this Friday

Bummed out that those lucky Americans have got Cave Story this week and we don't even know when it will hit our shores yet? Well, here's a nice surprise to keep us occupied in the mean time.

And if I'm not mistaken, this is the first third-party N64 title for the Virtual Console? And a very good one at that.

Is this on the US virtua console already? I'm lazy too look.

Though I know this game still sells for a hefty amount on eBay (the n64 cart version obviously).

Was always interested in it.

It's just that simple.

Not as far as I know.

Though if it's hitting EU this week though, a US release probably won't be far behind.

NA release can't be far away!

Valkyria Chronicles is keeping my strategy heart warm right now, though.

Hmm.. maybe, maybe not for NA. Remember that the rights to Ogre Battle 64 in NA are a nightmare, with Atlus (who has no interest in the VC) doing distro here; though that license has expired, they may still hold the translation?

Are you freaking kidding me!? I never got the chance to play it on my N64, and I tried to play it using emulator but it didn't work well.
This is wonderful news!

Uh, they're using the Atlus translation for the European release.  There's also been a few Atlus games on Virtual Console (in Japan at least).

I bet America gets it next Monday, and given it's not an import here it should be only 1000 points.

This like a few other games never made to Europe so it's good to see the import titles coming in on VC.

Aw crap, MORE Wii Shop stuff I have to get? As if I didn't have enough already.

This is an eventual must buy, but I'll still need that bloody SD card. And some more Wii Points- at this rate, 3000 points won't get me anywhere.
