I do understand that is how move works a lot of the time, probably not all though.

Quite a few games work without the sensor bar as it only detects the cursor and helps orientate the motion plus now and again.

I just wanted to say that the motion plus does not use the sensor bar to orientate itself at all. It just does it by sitting on a flat surface. You can set it on a flat surface pointing away from the sensor bar and it will orientate itself just fine. The sensor bar is only used for cursor based gameplay (unless some game uses it to do something weird).

It certainly uses it for some degree of calibration: for example in WSR sword fighting where you have to point at the centre of the screen between each round or for quick calibration during a round in both sword fighting and ping pong.

I think that's an optional setting.  It does help though.

Maybe you're right. I didn't even think of that as calibration, more of an annoyance :p.

wii sports is a copy from eye toy sports ::)

Eh... you know Wii Sports actually launched at the same time as EyeToy Play Sports right?  And that it was completed earlier?

Nevermind that the games play almost NOTHING alike...

keep on dreamin lol, a whole couple of day's difference, and it doesn't matter who did it first, it's who got it out the door first, in theis case eye toy sports did, just using some retarded logic here, that others have used to justify their statements

wii sports: It was first released in North America along with the Wii on November 19, 2006, and was released in Japan, Australia, and Europe the following month (from wikipedia)

EyeToy Play Sports: November 3 2006(from the ps website)

Wii Sports was held back by a platform launch, it was almost complete (and fully playable) at E3 2006.  EyeToy Play Sports only released in Europe too btw.

And again, there's the fact that they play basically NOTHING alike. ;)

People say it's base design and initial software lineup are copies.  And they are.

Of course Move can do things the Wii can't, but come on...

Please stop saying "retarded", it's an inflammatory slur.  It's nice to know that you're being intentionally dense and disingenuous in order to be argumentative though, it makes reporting you for trolling all the easier.

If Nintendo made more motion controlled software there would be no interest in a Wii-too like device.

whatever i'm leaving this site soon, I thought I could trust Wii fans, I even stuck up for the Wii in the past when people threw lame comments at it, now you all are just as bad as the people who said Wii was a gimmick, if not worse than them
