I think if the WAGGLE Sr. hadn't weathered the storm of "FAD, WAGGLE" BS that Sony and MS propagated through their fanboy network then neither company would have tried to compete with the Wii WAGGLE Sr.. For companies that "aren't in competition" with Nintendo they sure copy them like they are.

The claim that Sony was thinking about it 10 years ago don't mean sh*t they didn't have the balls to introduce it in the 7th generation until they realized their years of FAD/WAGGLE propaganda had failed. I love to hear how original Sony is being I can't wait to play PiiSPORTS and The Legend of Kratos: Ocarina of Betrayal. New! Super Sockboy Bros. is totally different from Mario because they are electricians and I hear Sony is developing an exercise system called Pii Sit and it's original because you only exercise your butt muscles the controller is a custom wireless butt mat. It should be popular with all the PS3 couch potatoes it will get them in to condition to sit through the epic 50 hour+ sausage fests they love to play.

I hear Sony's next innovation will be to introduce an SD video downgrade "upgrade" for the PS3 if the WAGGLE Jr. doesn't pan out.

Sony had motion via the camera and a wand in 2003 -2004. Nintendo tested the market with motion on the Wii, and have proved there is a ton of money in that market. Sony has in turn decided to follow through with tech concepts from before the Wii was even thought of, while introducing some concepts from the Wii.

All in all I would say they are equally quilty of trying to push innovation in input methods, and to be biased against one for a reason as unwarranted as "they are copy cats" is just ignorant.

My Vote is yes but wats the problem now days everyone is copying like if we will take example for cars hyundai almost copying honda or passat ,lexus copying BMW but they are becoming stronger brands.so the competitor will fail in market if they will not learn from their leading competitor.

lol at you this thread is liittle misleading if you will talk about inspiration then both sony & microsoft are inspired from nintendo thats y they are trying to make motion sensing device.now if wou will talk about copy then definitely yes sony has copied wii but microsoft is tryin something else bringing new device for motion sensing and thats cool.

so the design isn't inspired... but the nunchuck was presented about a year later than the "wand"... with (table)tennis and bowling games.... nice nice.

Said the WAGGLE copy cat fan! Thinking about having kids doesn't make you a parent Sony didn't follow through on their  WAGGLE "innovation" until after they had their asses handed to them by a console they claim they aren't in competition with.  Sony is just looking for Nintendo's sloppy seconds but I doubt they'll find them.

This is a stupid poll, that's why so many voted yes, even...inspired by and blatant copy are not the same thing, and should have their own choices, while the third should be completely new thing...inspired by and copying are not the same, that is all.
