EWWW ATI :(

The one you listed has barely any GPU performance. The one I listed has over 5* the GPU performance which is the main point of difference for a gaming laptop. |
Ah, you're right on those GPUs, however, I wouldn't recommend Acer.
Sooo, all in all that Asus for $1050 is the best deal. Has the best cpu (i7) and the better gpu for as close as you're gonna get to $1000.

lol
I was kinda referring to what I've read about Direct X11 and what not. Plus those ratings are pretty darn close and the fact that all of the laptops I could find thus far in that price range happen to have ATi, soooo yeah.

I have a ATI stigmatism for the amount of BS I had to put up through in my early childhood from ATI. DX10 is so last year it's all about DX11!!

I edited my post... I meant DX11.
Also, what's the point behind the images? One obviously has more lines, but I've never ran benchmark tools so I have no idea what I'm looking at.

The lines are to show the power of tessellation, see the wall behind the dragon just has a bunch of triangles, while the other one sporting DX11 is like a giant spiderweb. That's because the one below has more texture and shape. The normal triangle one looks like a flat brick wall, but the DX11 one would look like the wall is more 3d. Here's a better pic to show what I mean

You digrace your uniform! Take off that red jacket!
Tease.
Stay away from ASUS laptops!!
I currently have an ASUS G71 that i bought back in september for around $1400. Its a pretty decent specd laptop Nvidia GTX 260M and im sure you can get an even better one now adays for the same price. However i have had nothing but problems with it. Ive had to send it in 3 different times for different problems. (Fan broke, Internal battery charger broke, and finally screen died). I would stay away from ASUS if i were you. However their motherboards are great i still reccommend them.
I think your gonna be out of luck if you looking to spend less than $1000. I would reccommend a Desktop.
I mostly play RTS and Moba style games now adays as well as ALOT of benchmarking. I do play other games however such as the witcher 3 and Crysis 3, and recently Ashes of the Singularity. I love gaming on the cutting edge and refuse to accept any compromises. Proud member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race. Long Live SHIO!!!!
