For me it's the first GTA.
Had so much fun playing it when I was a child... THAT was pure FUN like Duke Nukem 3D-
not about better graphics or AI or.... just fun.

GTA 1 because it was original and fun
There are obvious arguments for why the modern GTA's are better, but the one I enjoyed the most was the GTA London expansion for the original GTA.

vice city. Just because of the 80's era. No other reason. lol
GTA 3 is the best
GTA3 holds sentimental value to me as the best one, but with the improvements that came with GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas they were better as 'games'.
GTA4 as a game was like a prequel to 3 with its de-evolution.
VC and SA are almost interchangeable, but the setting of Vice City was really cool. All of them were great except for 4.
