It wasn't scary at all.

no resident evil has been like RE 2 , what they need is to drop co op or if they want to leave it : 1- turn lights down make it dark ,2.- make the majinis scary, faster and more difficult, 3.- less bullets , the main apeal Re had is to go through a whole level with only few shells left

Perhaps people dislike it because they don't think it's as fun as the other games?

In fact, in comparison to Resident Evil 4, a game considered by many as one of the best in the series and an amazing game overall, it falls short. Resident Evil 4 didn't require much knowledge of the overall story, was a longer game, took the series in a new direction and had a lot of variety. Resident Evil 5 on the other hand has a dumb partner AI, a weak story that's trying to tie up the series, lacks as much variety which feels like the idea bucket was running low and is a shorter game. So while it's a decent game, it doesn't seem to live up to the expectations set by Resident Evil 4.

Personally, I don't care as I've never been that big of a fan of the Resident Evil series and I haven't really cared for the way Resident Evil 4 and 5 play and some of the over the top stuff it does (ex- hand to hand matrix combat and agility for example). If they're going to make it so action oriented now, why not start a new series with it?

yup i agree but the only thing is that the virus doesnt make scary zombies
just crazy people so how can majini be more scary? i think making it scary like re5 would be cool. re4 is not scary

as i heard  one of the DLC had one of the changes i would like them to make , which is the music , music plays an important role in tension building,i really like the co op but they should make it harder make u feel more vulnerable in comparisson to the enemies , less bullets so it makes u use tactics more use the knife ,hand to hand combat, melee weapons more runing more

As an action game

loved it, far better than RE4
I liked the settings and some of the best Boss fights this gen

I like action games as much the next guy, but there is alot of those, i want the old RE back

I think 5 is better than 4. Really, if 5 was released last gen as 4 and 4 this gen as 5, people would be REALLY pissed! Cults, farmers, grim reapers seriously?
