How is Avatar?---I want to know something about Avatar.

Is Avatar really that great???Doubt some opinions about Avatar.

I will use the first question to ask how good something is.

But didn't you say people shouldn't post such threads? Or did you mean this only about games that "a lot of people say are great"?

When you ask about Avatar, you should state which version  - PS3, 360 or Wii? Though personally I can't help you with that one no matter which platform.

Is XXX that great??sounds like a lot of people have given XXX a lot of positive opinions already to me,then some guy just don't believe it,so I suggest that go and see for themselves instead of posting such kind of thread,no need to ask someone you already doubt.There's HD videos online,demos to play,so if you doubt positive opinions already,then why you ask again anyway???

If you are just lazy(like myself),post "how is game XXX" kind of thread is just OK enough.

Ah so Avatar was just an example, not a real question, ok.

Well not everybody has the time to play demos just to find out if a game is good or not, HD videos do not always do justice to a game (or sometimes they make it look better than it is), and sometimes a lot of the "xxx game is great" threads are just fans gettig over enthusiastic - hence the doubters.

On the other hand there are also those who are eternal doubters, or who did not bother reading anything and just want the answer served on a plate.

All of the above are why "is xxx game great" threads exist.

Haters also would like to post this kind of thread too,not just eternal doubters(actually some times eternal doubter is good in the fisrt place,before something is proved well),laziers(like me).

So here comes in the question "How is game XXX?",that would be OK enough for eternal doubters and laziers.

he asked people, why they make "is game xxx (really) that great?" threads, if they already have their mind made up about it and couldn't bring themselves to trust the reviews and existing threads and so on

and if they really just want an opinion and are to lazy to search for the mass of opinions on the internet the OP advises them to name the thread "How is game XXX?", as that distanced it from the ones who just want to throw mud at the specific game
