huh, that's three 360 only developers to praise heavy rain. who wants to bet MS buys exclusivity to QD's next game?

QD already said they would like to do more stuff with Sony.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Cliffy B's right, it's the type of game I hope to see for Natal, except that Natal probably has a severe lag.

i forget how the quote was stated exactly but it certainly wasn't committal.  just something along the lines of we had a good relationship and interested in seeing what they can offer us next.  i'm sure that if MS came in with a better offer QD would gladly work with them too.

That makes 3 big developers within 1 week that say great things about Heavy Rain.

Valve, Molyneux and now Cliffy B.

I think people may be surprised and this game could use this to take some GoTY awards. The praise is phenomenal and I am honestly quite surprised at how often the game is still mentioned.

And all three are generally associated with the Xbox 360.

He meant PS MOVE?right??or just showed us his stupidity.

i seen my brother play heavy rain today and the sixaxis goes superb with the game. i dont think natal would work with heavy rain at all. it be to many motions for people to execute and some of it requires fast response and well... natal isnt quite accurate.

Link?

Have you played Natal?

From what we are hearing, Natal's lag is better than Wii's lag. less than 100ms.

IGn had a recent article saying NATAL right now is not even working, Developers wwre complainint at the GDC that it was having problems picking up motions at all at times.

there's your link. i was going to bring that up too, but he saved me some time. also like someone else mention, how would the quick botton sequences work on the 360 (natal)?? how would the sixaxis sequence work on the 360 (natal)? they would have to completely remake everything in order to support natal control and it might be a huge risk.

Well, I doubt we'll be seeing Heavy Rain with Natal (although MS could commission something similar) but I get the feeling we might well see Heavy Rain patched for Move - or get some Move specific DLC.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

More like interactive dvd...

"Frame-counting from moving my arm down to the on-screen Avatar following suit appears to be close to 200ms (12 frames, a fifth of a second). Before we go ballistic on this, it's got to be put into context in a number of respects:

  • We don't know the latency of the display, which could be anything between 1-5 frames (it's a Samsung, so it'll likely be towards the lower end).
  • We don't know the latency caused by the game code - it varies dramatically, even between 30FPS games.
  • Of course, Natal isn't finished yet, and best guestimates say it'll be 14 months until it's out in the shops. There's a very strong possibility that the final production unit will be different."
