Because the majority of posters posted before this last week where sales got that high.

If we use the week ending the 17th vs the week ending the 24th we as a mean sales for the remaining weeks we get very different numbers.  See for yourself:

17th Projection - 7,376,584
24th Projection - 8,020,168

I just did, and I think it makes a helluva lot more sense then what you were implying.

BTW don't sale GO DOWN after black friday

 Nah, it was just a bigger jump than expected, and it is also worth noting that the last week of decemeber traditionally drags the average down a bit.

And yes sales dip slightly after black friday in a lot of cases, but not always.  

 Many have burned their tongues, but most are loath to admit it... Get used to that, especially concerning Wii sales and support.

Hmmm Other's information is in, and the PS3 knocked out ~150k units there.

The PS3 will easily hit the 8 million mark, possibly the mid to upper 8 million range by the end of the year.

wow didnt expect such a big increase, 150k in Other.

It is infact a 190k increase, 6.36 - 6.55M.

i wasnt talking about them, I was talking about the more recents posts like PSaiki for example.

Looked like there was a boost from prior weeks numbers for the PS3 as well.
