Forums - Sony - I've tried to pretend it wasn't an issue but I have to admit it is now

£50 is plenty for the hard drive itself. Should get you around 250GB.

But you'll need an external hard drive large enough to back it up. Not sure about the cost of that.

Or you can just about live without backing up... But the back-up utility needs to be sorted out, I performed a back-up ages ago, and when I tried to do another one, I had to manually delete the old one from the HDD, then do another one. I also only want to back up the save data and other trivial stuff, but not the installs or videos

Around the Network

320GB Western Digital Scorpio is THE recommended drive for capacity, price, and speed (its faster than the original drive).

I recommend you start deleting games. And you get a faster internet connection.

lol what does getting a faster internet connection have to do with upgrading PS3 HDD?

It doesn't address upgrading the HDD it addresses the problem. He mentioned how he started DLing Darksiders 2 weeks ago and still has yet to finish DLing it. Also if his internet was fast we wouldn't feel like he has to hold on to all these demo's and stuff because it then wouldn't take too long to DL them again like it does now for him. If he deletes all these things that he doesn't really need to hold on to then he no longer needs a new HDD.

bro i heard you can get a 500 gig external hard drive that will work with the ps3
