Well, in my opinion, if you like 'classic' JRPGs, and you have a DS then get 6 JRPGs for the price of $120 that are even more classic than really any Console RPG that's out right now.

I agree completely. I would add Tales of Vesperia is great too. The lost Odyssey is another good one.

you can have 2 players which is a nice feature.

(I bought it for 7£.... even the PS3 version should be cheap by now)

FF13 is the 2nd best FF EVER behind FF6 for me!

Valkyria Chronicles, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Tales of Vesperia.  That's only like $100 right there.  If you're masochistic, then add The Last Remnant ($20) and/or Demon's Souls ($50).

Do what I'm doing and wait for a FFXIII price drop. ;)

The last remnant takes some getting used to but it is worth it to stick it out for a few hours. I would also strongly suggest that you install it if buying it on xbox. I never experienced any issues that other people complained about but I have always installed it and played from the HD.

The battle system is Great. I hear the PC version is even better so I am planning on getting it for the PC too, just waiting for it to drop in price.

FF XIII should keep you happy for some time, and unfortunately that is the only jRPG I have on PS3
