Did you run through it on easy mode? Took me 12 hours.
“Absolutely, we can do much more with it. I don’t know if we are even close to 50 percent of PlayStation 3’s power at this point,” said Asmussen about God of War 3. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
I played it again just to get the godly possession that i missed.
Finished the game the first time on normal at around 10 hours.
Played the game on Hard while maximising my weapons , health, magic , items and finding all the godly possessions took me another 12 hours. So yeah replay value isn't that high but after playing the game for the first time , i suddenly wanted to play the game again.
And again xD

I played on Normal and I tried to max out my things, took it slow and it took me 10-11 hours.

YES
Also play collection.
I have no idea what games you like but GOW is a must play IT will beat more than 90% of all the games you ever played ever played EVER!
This game took me 12 and a half hours to beat on titan difficulty (which should have been default since it makes the combat system alot better) and another 5 hours to get all the trophies.
Coming from a hardcore Ninja Gaiden and DMC fan, the combat and gameplay tops just about every game in both series when being played on titan mode. Every enemy brings something different to the table and the AI never feels "cheap." There's more strategy involved than skill, which is good since you can just pick up the controller and feel comfortable.
I haven't played bayonetta yet, but GOW3 does things that most other action (hack and slash) games can't even begin to dream of. Things like, great level design, puzzles, platforming, excellent pacing and story elements.
The set pieces in this game is even better than Uncharted 2, and that's saying a lot.
There's no reason to skip out on this game. If you're one of those guys that think the combat isn't as good as titles like NG2 and DMC3, play the game a harder difficulty and you'll see the depth that GOW3 offers.
Oh yeah, and the graphics are top notch, best so far in this generation.
If you liked any of the God Of Wars that have come out so far, then you'll definitely like GOW III. If you're honestly unsure about it, why don't you rent it.
By the way, I'm looking for the redemption code for getting the Kratos character on Little Big Planet. If anybody has it and wouldn't mind giving it to me, that will be greatly appreciated.

well, first off I would have said fanboy to refer to the fanatics and not just the fans, as obviously there will be sony fans who don't like the series, but the forums can't control themselves and we get all sorts of rediculous things that gets banned on these forums. twesterm is the only person who has played at least 1 game in the series and doesn't like the game so far that I've read. This is a valid opinion worth noting, but was very quickly shot down. In fact, he is forcing himself to play it just so he can have a valid opinion according to the forums. pretty much every person who actually plays the 3rd game on this forum like it, and the people who don't like the series won't play the 3rd game. Even twesterm was playing 3 instead of 1 he'd probably be labeled a hater. This polarization seems to be in place because of how similar all the GoW games are, which is totally fine. But disliking GoW3 or MSG4 typically means you are a hater. However, it is perfectly fine to think NSMB (or Wii version) or Halo completely suck ass. Obviously not everyone is like this, but again asking if he should buy GoW3 on this forum is just stupid, I could say I hate GoW and should I buy it and people will still say yes despite my taste in gaming. Also, the OP obviously just wanted someone to say yes, because he even labeled twesterm as a non-valid opinion and quickly said "i'm going to buy it" again, I really never should have came in here, but I thought the thread title was rediculous for these forums. |
The funny thing is that I've said nothing bad about God of War in this thread. XD
(unless you count saying God of War 3 not being the greatest game evar as bad)
| Vidcon_Wizard said: It's not exactly mind-shatteringly great, but it's okay. Fact is, for all the glitz and glamor, it's still the same shallow romp with slightly more interactivity than the haunted mansion at Disneyland. Of course, it's great if you want to see more of the baffling design choices the series is famous for. Example: consider how in Mario 64, you could see where Mario is going to land (after jumping off an owl or something) by where his shadow is going. God of War's shadow system is definitely fancy, but doesn't serve this function, and it doesn't offer any other tricks to help you out with stuff like that. So, Santa Monica Studios, congrats on making something less sophisticated than an N64 game. |
wow. i had to wipe the ignorance from my screen after reading this.
so gow is less sophisticated than mario because it has a realistic shadow physics?
hey sport, jump off a building and see if your shadow tell you where you'll land.
art is the excrement of culture
Twesterm (or as some people say, Western) used to be mod. Perhaps it is time for a committee to be established to investigate some of Twes' past mod activities. Allegations of trolling, sexual harassment, and un-accounted for VG$ have been coming out, lately.
