Forums - Sales - So Final Fantasy XIII's western launch is less than Bad Company 2's launch?

"Why the heck are you complaining as a customer because developers spend time perfecting their games ?"

Getting less content that's prettied up is not perfecting a game.

BTW, if any of you think I have anything against JRPGs versus FPS, look at the game I own. JRPG is not only one of my favorite genres, I also replay some of them. Yes, I replay 60+ hour games. So there was nothing malicious to FFXIII when I made this thread, just to discuss why it had such a seemingly lackluster opening despite the anticipation.

Dude anyone that has been on this site for a while knows you made this thread as a jab toward HD consoles, trying once again to convince ppls that japanese developers would be better moving their AAA serie to the Wii. Guess what they didn't and that was the right move for them........

I called him out, but i wasn't as direct as you. I give you props.

@ Ali, ignore him, he's still playing below average wii games (Dead Rising: CTYD) to prove to everyone that revieweres are biased against the wii, while we play the good AAA games. Its kinda funny actually that he whines about development costs and that HD games aren't profitable, yet he is stuck playing few quality games.

YOu made this thread in a way that seemed like you were happy FF was finally going down.

But clearly you didn't.....but thats what many people though.

I read his OP and couldn't see anywhere it sounded like he was happy that FF wasn't selling aswell as in the past. Point it out to me?

YOU point it out to me!

Well in some way thats partially subsidised by the fact that games this gen cost more to buy, but yes games budgets are getting out of control in many ways.

No they don't. Games have been in the 50$-60$ price range for yonks.

I can't speak for other countries but I've seen FF13 for $120 in Australia, which is much more then the 100 that most games cost last gen here.

@darthdevidem01

Well since you clearly can't point it out then your assumption that he seemed happy about it probably more has to do with your own perception of why the thread was created then any point he was trying to make.

Then Australia is getting shafted on these prices. I recall the Xbox Live "Games on Demand" price for Mass Effect was over 100$ too.

Of course Australias getting shafted on prices. We always have... You can find it cheaper of course but the store I was at was one of the bigger games retailers.

Actually, I didn't upgrade my "now playing". That's only one game I'm playing, but even then to assume my motives for playing is arroagant, since I play games for fun. I have fun with that game since it's about killing zombies even more than the original. But I also have fun with No More Heroes, Dragon Quest Rocket Slime, Disgaea Hour Of Darkness, and Final Fantasy Revanant Wings, all of which I'm currently playing.
