Forums - Sales - So Final Fantasy XIII's western launch is less than Bad Company 2's launch?

What trigger?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

The trigger of even thinking of the possibility that a dirty peasant FPS can outsell our glorious god like Final Fantasy game...apparently.

Its actually quite funny to look at the start of this thread and see everyone coming out and defending ff13 by saying "oh shock horror a jrpg doesnt sell as good as a shooter in the west" as if to make out that is all america is interested in (lets all just pretend the wii doesnt exist)... and now look... holy cow.. maybe those dumb americans like more than just shooters huh? although they sure did like duck hunt

Honestly, I wouldn't have posted if I knew the numbers were off, since the only real point was to note the oddity of these numbers being so close for a mega hit series and a moderate hit series. Now there is an explanation.

I think the conclusion we can draw is that Final Fantasy is still an hugely anticipated series, and that Bad Company is also a popular series.

Did you even see the numbers before they were adjusted? The others did, which is why they understand what I mean. The adjusted numbers show that conclusion. The numbers before supported a different one.
