Forums - Sony Discussion - Kevin Butler Move ad: Is the PS Move sub controller motion sensitive?

Wow, so you need to have two Sony "wands" and the camera to play an FPS?

No Sir...Read some of the previous parts in the thread, but basically....It's not two wands, it's one wand and a sub controller or sixaxis

Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...

I just watched the latest Kevin Butler ad based around the PS Move controller and couldn't help but notice something.. Skip to 1:00 and watch for the grenade throw, I'm quite sure Socom 4 uses one Move and one sub, not two moves but correct me if I'm wrong :P

Hahaha.  Those are some good rips on the wii and Natal

As for the sub controller.... could be... or it could be that they weren't really playing in the background... that kinda thing is pretty common.

Although I rate NATAL (based on what I have seen\heard\read so far) above MOVE I found the bit where he was talking about point and shooters without buttons funny. I couldn't agree more.

Yeah, Kenoid. Reading is important before you post.

Seems like a silly omision to leave motion out of the movechuck, but you never know.

You can't trust a video that, like the name suggest, is an advertisement.

Despite the fact of having a respectable man which was paid to make a video talking shit about other companies and make fun of himself looking like an hypocrite douchebag, the people you see playing are actors pretending they're playing the video on screen, which may not be actual gameplay.

So then what's with the motion in the advertisement?

It's the same as the guy jumping behind his couch in the Red Steel commercial.  I can record myself holding a 360 controller and turning it like it's a steering wheel, but still using my thumbs on the analog stick, while playing Forza 3.  That doesn't mean that the 360 controller has motion sensing but a person who didn't know any better might think otherwise.

The same goes for that fighting game...

"Although the folks demoing the game were saying that you needed to throw real punches and not just pump your fists wildly, that wasn't what I found when I picked up the wands today." - IGN
