This is very cool, it reminds me of some Holographic stuff I saw a while back. I think this has a lot of potential but probably not so much for gaming.

I am looking forward to seeing a bigger HD version that would rock it out!

that's freaking awesome. instead of the tv being up against a wall i can imagine my living room 10 years from now having a huge 360 tv in the middle

I was thinking about this. If they can have 4 90degree displays instead of just 1 360degree display, this would be huge for multiplayer-lan gaming.

EDIT: No longer must I share half [or god forbid, 75%!!!] of my screen with someone! Split-Screen, be gone!

I think people will always prefer to watch a tv from one direction so for the home application I'm not seeing the benefit. But one of these on the streetcorner would be a good way to advertise, it's something right out of a sci-fi movie or game like Mass Effect 2. This could certainly boost Sony's income which they then could use to support their not so flourishing ventures like their gaming department.
