I think people will always prefer to watch a tv from one direction so for the home application I'm not seeing the benefit. But one of these on the streetcorner would be a good way to advertise, it's something right out of a sci-fi movie or game like Mass Effect 2. This could certainly boost Sony's income which they then could use to support their not so flourishing ventures like their gaming department.
