I can think of a good many uses for that kind of tech (which looks awesome by the way).
Just think if you had control over the 360o view. Instead of split screen you could that that 360o, split it into 2 or 4 (at most) for your "split screen". If i understand this correctly (and I think I do) it would work perfectly.
Screen 1 = 0o - 179o, Screen 2 180-359o. (tho of course it would have to be much larger than what is displayed)
that's pretty cool. It could become huge in the advertising market. Gone are the days of having to aim ads. Now, you have every direction!

Sony are so unoriginal they can't come up with their own ideas to save themselves. I thought of that ages ago. Just like I thought of video tape recorders before anyone else, and DVDs and recordable DVDs. They've all stolen those ideas off me and I haven't seen 1 cent out of it.

Usless for gaming? Make 10 times bigger and make high def with 3D then plug in a Console pluss co-op game...

This is useless for gaming or home entertainment as a TV.
But is is just sick for advertisement on the streets. It's impossible not to pass by it and see that the image is changing angles.
This can be huge.
