WII - 18.3 Million

Xbox 360 - 15 Million

mass effect + ps3 will drop in sales in japan next week. They did good to pass 360 for 1 week i guess.

I think the PS3 has a shot of outselling 360 for the remainder of the year, but the 360 already has such a solid lead on it already it hardly matters.

They will rise in Europe I believe, and might pass the 100k park in the U.S as well, even if they drop to 30k in JAPAN the ps3 will stay around were its at if not slightly higher.

I do expect 240k. I expect japan sales will stay above the 50k mark for the remainder of the year.

Getting Close! I have been absent for awhile did the price cut hit in japan? Whats the reason for the major boost?

Last week there was a huge adjustment that pushed the PS3 (+20k) above the 360 (-50k). This week a very minor adjustment is all it would take, 1.7k. I won't concede the win to the 360 till I see what the numbers look like after the adjustments come in.

The Wii dominated them both though.



My prediction (Jan 15th, 2008), total sales by end of 2008: Wii - 35 million X360 - 25 million PS3 - 21 million

Cool. I think this will force MS to lower the price with another 50$. It's kinda crazy that they lowered the price with a mere 50$ after 2 years, unless they wanted to save it for christmas or something.

I don't doubt it will sell good during the holidays - but I want to see if this will be sustained after the holidays. That will prove once and for all if the PS3 price cut is really making a difference.
