Old vs New
And that fan is most likely for testing purposes. |
wow that is quite a bit.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
It's almost like a Wii-sized HD console O.o

Its actually not all the surprising since the Xbox360 is very similar to a PC and there has been a lot of progress in miniaturisation of PC integrated circuits since the last 3 years. Its a no brainer to combine chipsets and reduce the form-factor by a lot. Expect a Xbox slim and Natal to be revealed at E3 and released in the fall. |
Whats similar between an Xbox 360 and a PC? I never got this one. At least its no more similar to a PC than any other console on the market.

In terms of architecture, so it's more like a PC from a developer's point of view, not necessarily the end consumer.
A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.
Hmmm...this plus the clearance of arcades across Canada.

they just said that there are no plans to make a slim model people are full of shit

You mean development architecture right? I do agree because its like a unified platform from what I heard between PC/360 inspite of the hardware differences. But this guy is talking about hardware and I just don't see it. Xbox 360 - it does share some components, but they are also shared with other consumer electronics devices so?
i dont know much about computers and stuff, but would it be possible to use the xbox360/hdd as an external hard drive and just port it to the slim and transfer your games/patches...etc. with a usb cord?
That would be insane if it appears to be true:
Gain in size
Gain in noise
Gain in reliability
Gain in price
=
Gain in sales
At least I really hope they release a slim version this year!
