oh wait! I think he meant those dream scenes where the Arch Demon appears. Which take up like what? 5 minutes of gameplay?
Frankly, I'd rather them use the money to make the graphics better, like in Mass Effect.

same here
Long Live SHIO!
I'll wait until I best DA:O. I was getting close but I had to wipe my HD because of a virus. Not that I'm complaining, now I get to experience it again (along with the equally amazing Mass Effect series. DA:O is easily the best "Bioware style" RPG I've ever played, and that's my favorite genre.
DA is unusual in style for this gen. I think it's pretty traditional in gameplay not far from the turn-based roots of the genre. Harder for me and wrpg fans to get immersed in. As expansions go Awakenings is good, almost very good but expensive at $40 and kinda buggy.
It is 20 hrs plus for most and the Battlemage and Spirit Warrior perks will give it replay. I'll get a hundred out of it easy. Lots of good gear, new environments, quests and I liked most of the new squadmates. I took a lvl 16 rogue through and had no trouble hitting 30. A maxed-out mage would have been even better. An 84 if you like the numbers.

My PC toon is a mage, but my 360 one is a warrior, and in Awakenings, I found it easier to complete than in DA:O...I think I maybe had one wipe in my entire Awakening run - The Baroness...and it wasn't really a wipe, but instead a reset, since only my character was left, and after almost 10 mins of the "cheat" move of hers...nuff said for spoilers warning - while I had to lower the setting on the final boss to easy in DA:O. Be that as it may, I think Awakening was a bit too pricey for what we got...imho, for $39.99, we should have gotten a campiagn almost as long as the original. How much really did it cost to produce Awakening as compared to DA:O?...I don't mind paying $39.99, I just wanted 30-40 solid hours out of it, and maybe mroe polish, since this is a follow-on to a released title.
Heruamon: I still drop the last boss to normal. It's all about the catapaults but none of the follower groups will keep the bloody Shrieks off of me. Wondered about going nasty to get the Golems or Werewolves as backup. The replay value on Bioware's stuff seems almost infinite but I agree on Awakenings $/hr. It was $45 cdn. and got over fast.
I see 'Firewalker' is 98 percent complete so I'm off to outer space. Gotta love free dlc.

Yeah...they might be a little sturdier against the mobs, and probably more dps to boss as well. I'm pretty much thru with DA:O on the 360, but I'm still playing thru on my PC with my mage. I'm kinda in withdrawal right now, because at the start of the year, I had ME2 and Awakening on the tap...now...I've got a bioware void...oh well...I'll get the smal ME2 dlc and love it, I am sure.
I'm waiting for game of year edition, otherwise it'll be a miss for me.
I swear this is DLC madness and I will not stand for it.
DLC should only happen once or twice at the most for single player games, as for multipler ones, it's ok for a couple as they are just maps and nothing critical for the single player experience.
Yea, I beat it already and it was something like 20 hours. Achievements are pretty easy. HINT: It's really easy to get the "Heavy Hitter" achievement in Awakening :P

This isn't DLC. It's a full boxed old school expansion.
Huh? That's like saying New Super Mario Bros Wii is hard for platformer fans to get immersed in. It's just silly, Dragon Age is the personfication of WRPGs, more than any other game this gen.
