I remember my parents got my bros and I an NES late 80's. First game my dad bought us (aside from the Mario/Duckhunt game it came with) was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That game is still classic and a little tough. I loved the boxart with the original turtles in all in red.
We had an amstrad PC1512 (french thing I guess) on which we played arkanoid, olympic games and i think that's it. (I guess this is my first gaming... a few years later I started trading games with a friend... so i had double dragon, speedball....)
and during the summer (87), my cousins (girls btw) brought their NES to my grandma's place (in the US).... I discovered Zelda......
I had a NES for the next christmass (87). I got the full rob kit (the damn robot worked only once...).
We had an atari ST on which we played boulder dash, buble ghost and I guess that is it. (I dunno the year but it was one with a hard floppy disk and hooked up to the TV... parents got it for us to learn to type... that worked well...)
Got the SNES in august 1991 during my vacations but.... for christmass :-p.... still managed to play it to check if everything worked... and finished zelda (needed lots of checking)
(released 4 months later in EU)
wonderfull years :p

Yeah, I started playing "game and watch", colecovision and atari back in the 80's, as a kid. But I started to play a lot with the master system, I don't know if it was the late 80's or the beginnig of the 90's
nope wasn't even alive but i got my first game in 1997 crash bandicoot for ps1
Mi first VG System was the Atari 2600, that should probably answer the question...
I started in the early 90's, but what I was gaming then were all games from the eighties. Great old days, yeah.
Contra was the first game I ever beat and then Megaman. I loved Mario, indeed I did, and that's why I got a SNES pretty soon after.
I was. First on some tabletop arcade systems, then on some family member's Atari (I don't remember which version. Hell, it coulda been Coleco or something. I just remember playing Pac-Man) and then in the arcades and finally the Nes and Gameboy.
And, this is why Xbox Lives upcoming Game Room (I think that's what it's called) is going to fail. I was playing those old games at the time when they were cutting edge and I STILL have no interest in playing them again........
