Nowhere in the Quran does it say women have to wear a veil, yet a lot of them refuse to do it out when they're not allowed to wear one. In Antwerp for example it's not allowed to wear it in public schools(it's allowed in universities though) yet there were a lot of protests from muslims.

In fact no one wore a veil when the Islam was created, it was only much later that women had to wear one.

He was told to remove his hooded top. Its simple, he was displeased that a women fully covered in a religious garment was allowed to wear that. So he claimed it was part of a religious group and was fine.
