Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo fans- We need to talk

Sorry playa but this MLK stuff not going to cut it!
Since the Playstation has been in exist it's purpose is to destory Nintendo. Whip the exist of the company and it's consoles. That have shape this currently age of gaming. Ya we battle Sega back in that day. They fought with a level of respect! Something Sony hasn't never done. Even when we were on the bottom during the N64, and GC days. Nintendo fans did their thing. Not once acting in the way they did. Now it's The Return of King, and you want us to act as such. Hell NO!
Like I said early Sony has been trying to get rid of our way of life. Since 95 so now I say off with their heads!

LOL JK really though! It's time for their come up ins!

I think the Sony Move is awesome that they Sony finally made the Move. I think though more Nintendo fans are showing contempt for the hypocrisy of Sony fans that are being hypocrites or finding strange justifications to suit the companies new stance. I truly believe if Sony fans were a lot more respectful of the Wii Remote when it came out(not that Sony was itself) then I suspect some of the Nintendo fans wouldn't be turning into dicks.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

I was waiting for something like this to appear...
I agree, but there is some sense of justifiable rage from them as most of us said. The thing that really bothers me the most is the "Let's show who has the bigger cannon" or "who got last laugh" in an outragous contex, that the posters make with little to none existent respect...

I might feel like there is a sacralige(maybe a poor choice of word) what Sony is doing may look like a bit two-faced, but I will not go as far as posting that they are a criminal at blatantly copying something that they despised from the get-go. I'll go for the Iwata-san's approach.

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

I welcomed the move.

When Nintendo pushes the industry forward with something new everyone else follows trend, been that way since NES.

I just don't like the people who bashed Wii and motion who all the sudden praise the move and defend it as if it didn't copy Nintendo.
Same goes for Wii fans bashing Sony for recognizing something good.I guess those Wii fans just wanted to feel special for having something for themselves and feel threatened.
Of course they did but it's flattery plus even if they did improve on the Wii remote that is great also.
After all After N64 analog sony brought out the dual analog with better analog sticks.

Nintendo always has something else up it's sleeve.

Nintendo brings it and Sony usually improves it. Gamers win in the end.

Yes, Nintendo were the first to introduce motion controls, yet stupidly, Sony will be the one to capitalize on them first. It seems that the one thing the one company can't do, the other is ace at, and vice versa.

Depends on what you mean by capitalise. We'll see in the next few months whether you are right (on your meaning)

To expand motion controls across many genres. Sony will most certainly deploy them on GoW, Uncharted, Gran Turismo, MLB the Show, Ratchet & Clank, and many more, while Nintendo has kept them mainly for casual titles thus far.

Well that was interesting.

Fanboy swill be fanboys I guess, it's annoying, but there's no way to stop people from trolling stuff like that.

It's odd that we all love this industry, yet we are capable of "outrage" when something new and possibly cool like the MOVE comes out, mainly on loyalty to a brand. When's the last time you got totally pissed off when a cool new hybrid sports car came out? Where you like "Hey! My car had wheels and a trunk, they just copied it and made it more "next-gen"!

I know that's kinda a dumb example.....but i think you get my drift.

I'm not a gamer, I'm a Game-ist

>Implying there isn't a litany of reasonable excuses for this kind of EPIC butthurt to continue on.

(the truth is amp316 doesn't want anyone to discourage Move purchases because that could potentially discourage the development of Boom Blox Move, and inturn the ability to minimise the damage on Wii)

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Anyway, we should stop with the sony fans and nintendo fans terms when we refer as the trolls that have trolled other consoles this gen, and we know every console has gotten trolls hating it.

We should just enjoy our games and leave the rest alone if we dont like their tastes.

I'm guessing it's more about having a go at Sony fans that started by slagging off the Nintendo Wii and it's motion conrols and calling it stupid and lame but then think Sony move is great and it's really really nothing like the Nintendo Wii-mote and for that reason motion control on the PS3 is going to be great etc etc blah blah blah.

In other words 'idiots'.
