 15/Mar/2010 A week on from yet another fastest selling game of the year so far and the record has yet again been smashed – Square Enix’s ‘Final Fantasy XIII’ debuts at No1 on 360/PS3, split 54% PS3 and 46% 360. The last Final Fantasy title to reach No1 was actually ‘Final Fantasy XII’, back in week 8, 2007 although this was only released on PS2. Last week’s record breaker, EA’s ‘Battlefield: Bad Company 2’ drops to No2 (-38%) and Ubisoft drop one place to No3 with ‘Just Dance’ on Wii (-9%). Sony’s ‘Heavy Rain’ on PS3 (-8%) remains at No4 and Nintendo’s ‘Wii Fit Plus’ climbs one place to No5 (+11%). Also climbing one place is Activision Blizzard’s ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ at No6 (+2%) – the title also climbs one place in the all-time All Formats total UK market unit sellers, finally outpacing Rockstar/Take 2’s ‘GTA: San Andreas’ to claim second place, behind the UK’s biggest selling game of all time, ‘Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training’ on DS.
