Excellent score for the Pokemon remakes.

no those scores of the remake is way to high. Pokemon is acting like dragon quest it cant seem to innovate. I know they probably don't want to because they may lose fans but come on. I hate constant rehashes with better graphics.

Unless you have played the games there is no way for you to really say what the score should be. Further, the changes in gen IV are huge unless you are only a casual fan. Casual fans have a bunch of new pokemon and mini games to have a blast with. They made a bunch of cool changes with HG/SS for post game too.

i have played the Japanese version with the Japanese text swapped for English text. Saying then don't buy it or play it doesn't solve my problem if i like something but it never seems to change to a dramatic enough degree to keep me interested any longer despite liking the series. The battle mechanic has been the same since what red and blue in 1996. what i cant want a series to try to do something different i know if i was making Pokemon games i would be bored by know of what we were putting out.

Just because it's a remake, it doesn't mean that it deserves any fewer points than the original.

95% is a great score for the greatest ever pokemon games with extra features.

The fact that fire type attack can now be either special or physical based is a massive change that completely redefines how well some pokemon perform. Berries, held items, natures, and breeding also come to mind. If you ignore those things not much has changed I guess. Of course those were pretty massive changes.

Pokemon always seems to attract scores in the mid to lower 8 region – but personally I rank it up there with the best franchises. Reviewers always seem to pick on things like “they don’t say Pika when they’re released from a Pokeball”. Which is odd when the anime started that trend. It's good to see a title getting a higher score… even if it is from Nintendo Power.
