let me put things in perspective for Edge:  FF Crystal Bearers (Wii) 7/10 > FFXIII 5/10.

if it were a PS3 exclusive, probably would get a 4.

Let's not forget, MGS4 got 7/10. That makes this game what? Game of the Decade?

^, I think people were merely pointing out how laughable is to base a game PURELY on Edge's review.

The game's recieved positive impressions from Japan. It's actually a bug budget DS game and it's supposed to have a good story and gameplay. I don't see why this score shouldn't be trusted. Edge gave Bayonetta a 10 and that was highly praised...

Edge is like any other reviewers now?

Infinite Space totally might deserve an 8/10 but it's still important to note that Edge's scores are most of the time way off.

I think the reviewers are entitled to their opinion. All reviews work like this. They don't think about anyone else but how they feel about the game, film, tv show etc. And that's fine. We go into reviews knowing it is subjective. You can blast them, not trust them or whatever, but it is still how reviews work. Just look at how Modern Warfare scored lower than World at War in ONM. It is clearly a much better game, but someone different reviewed it and thus lower score.

Anyway, I'm buying this game for sure.

I would wait for more reviews to come in from what I hear it actually wasn't that well received in Japan either.

actually EDGE hates FF13 for 2 reasons

1. The PS3 version is superior to the xbox version

2. They loved the hell out of FF12 and 13 is as far away from 12 as you can get.

FF XIII got a lot of mixed reactions in Japan.

Pretty much all FF games have mixed reactions. Even FF X got a 6 from Edge. With the smaller games like Infinite Space it's usually more one sided. Also a lot of reviewers tend to score some relatively worse games better than relatively better games, but not consistently enough to make it stand out a lot. Seriously, what if I went into other threads and did the same things, citing examples of crappy reviews from different sites and saying "they aren't trustworthy"?

I will bet you 1 month ban that FFXIII will get higher Meta score than Infinite Space. Proving that Edge review is absolutely garbage.
