PS3 looks much better / clear
It's off screen at an angle so far as I can see, I'd take the different look with a pinch of salt at this point. Crytek rarely mislead in their statements technically, and they've been saying both are essentially the same.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

It's cause of the light behind them. See the black surround on the TV? It's making the PS3 version look sharper even more so than than the PC version.

Okay, I guess that answers that. Just seems a pain (sorry to be lazy) to have to jump in an out of different forums to get info on what is essentially the same thing - I'd rather just have a CryEngine 3 Sticky thread in games forum for all things Cryengine related. |
sure ... but then you need "rules" and since we have no rule everybody can create the thread they want and add some "spin" to the videos/screenshots released ...
Time to Work !

That would have no effect on how bright the picture is. The wall and the ground and EVERYTHING is obviously brighter/less blurry on the PS3 one. The light would have zero effect on what the engine is rendering. That being said. The PS3 one looks better. But the xbox was able to be connected to :P Pros and cons people. Pros and cons.
EWWWW screen tearing like a mofo in the second video. I can tell, the xbox at least really cant handle it yet. The PS3 probably cant either. Or maybe the code sucks. Who knows.
Btw PC FTW!

CryEngine 3 might be better suited for multi-threading, which the Cell would be way more effective at doing.

That is exactly what I was thinking. It is the same reason why for games like KZ2 and UC2 the cell is able to pick up some slack of the video card to make the games look better. I just wanted to correct people about the whole "Its the light on the Tv screen!" idea that was bouncing around.
lol @ many comments in this thread.
PC elitism gets worse almost every day.
@ those who think the PS3 version look superior than the 360 version.
From this video: bullshit. The PS3 version doesn't even show the same picture as the other two versions. That's why it looks even clearer than the PC version, because it doesn't show the editor.
