Forums - Sony - PS Move is a safe option for Sony , Increases PS3s life

I think PS move is a safe option.

PS3 will get many of wii games .since wii has a lage user base developers will continue to support it.so PS3 will get some games from here.

on the other hand it will get many  games that are on X360,,,,,like HD multiplatgames(COD,GTA,...)

so this way the platform will be supported with more software for longer.

I think this can increase the life of a console.so 10 years might start to make sense(PS4 will come out when PS3 is 5-6 years old but PS3 will remain on the market)

what do you think? can Move lengthen the PS3s life?

Is this a POSITIVE thread on PS Move!? :O

OT:
Yes. I think it will extend what ever lifetime was left in PS3. It will also mean PS3 gets the "Best of both worlds". Continued HD support with 360 from 3rd parties, and now also getting a share of what Wii was having all to itself.

No need for PS4, whatever other consoles will bring up, PS3 already got it.

- Blu-ray
- Motion Control in HD
- 3D

what else can you have in a PS4 or next generation console which you dont have it already in PS3.

Yeah...PS Move will for sure make the PS3 a very profitable product for Sony the moment it releases.

No need for PS4, because people are into the cheapest (price-wise) systems. The ones with the most sales this Gen are the cheapest, unlike last Gen where the PS2 cost more than the GC.

Well by the time Move releases,PS3 should already be slightly profitable, and Move will only increase that profit

I agree. If they can iron out the kinks and stay up to date with it this iwll not only add long term functionality but open the door for new demographics as well......but they really need to nail the quality or nothing else will matter.

If they nail the quality its going to be great for long term business, they can transition to what would almost be an entire generation of MOVE PS3's keeping the base users intact and ushering in people "upgrading" from the wii who not only might already have a PS3 but when the price drops to $250 will look to buy one.

Very good move by sony even if im not interested or impressed, but now my girlfriends fine with the PS3 since she gets EA fitness in the fall so all is well in my apartment.

I am honestly looking forward to it, and am not looking at it as a "Wii-Mote" clone at all...mostly because I think the software will end up being different later, more tailored to me. All in all though, I think it will be a good addition to my already utilized Ps3s, especially since I own a Ps3 Eye already.

I would prefer this thread stay generally positive about the new information on it, but I absolutely know it just won't happen for long.

Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...

All of the things you mentioned + the strong 1st party titles Sony has coming out = Win imo...worst case scenario they may not have as big as sales as they wanted...but that's the WORST possible scenario if they put out crappy games...but I'm certain we will see some good first party titles for the Move as well ;) E3 can't come sooner
