Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Signs Contract with BBC to Create Dr. Who game for Wii and DS

I hope it's a puzzle based game, although 'get it out by the lucrative holiday period' worries me.

It's a good concept for a game I think =P should be nice and non traditional

This wouldn't be the first licensed game Nintendo worked on. They also published some games based on the Eyeshield 21 manga, though I don't know who developed them.

8ing developed them.

...didn't include digital releases like SFC BSX/WiiWare/DSiWare/Virtual Console (for my own sanity) or the 3rd party Famicom Mini/Classic NES games Nintendo selected and I may have missed a few...

Holy piss. This is incredible news. I really hope Nintendo puts one of their best studios on this and don't end up sourcing it out to a second-party or anything like that. I'm fearing that it's just Nintendo that's going to be publishing it, but I pray that it's not and that they're actually developing it as well. That would be AMAZING.

If this is true... and I say if because of the source, they are not the most reliable when it comes to getting the facts right... then this is brilliant news.

I just wish it were based upon Tom Baker's Dr. Who.

When I was in high school (late 1970s, early 1980s), a local TV station decided to start broadcasting 24 hours a day.
Among the program fillers in the overnight were Felix the Cat and Dr. Who.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Tom Baker really was the best. The awesome thing about the Dr. Who reboot is that they actually managed to find an actor who could hold a candle to Tom Baker. The power of scarf + fro is not to be denied.

I think that a Dr. Who game desperately needs to be a point and click puzzle adventure. Who's with me?
