This game is driving me crazy. For some reason I cant connect to the online games. I connect just fine to the PSN and every other game I have played online. (Warhawk/Resistance/Rainbow 6/Madden/CoD4/Motorstorm) I can even get online and browse the games on GH3, just can connect to a game!!!!
My connection is Nat type 2. Which I was told means it is connected correctly for online play to work. My router is setup with DHCP enabled. From what what I have read I might need to disable this but I have reached the end of my rope of playing with these router settings.
I have tried forwarding the ports the guitar hero support said needed to be open but still no luck. I tried forwarding but someone told me today that might be pointless if DHCP is enabled. When I forward the ports on my lynksys router you have to set the port to be opened, choice of 2 protocols for the port, and and IP for it to be forwarded to which is already set as 192.168.1.___. So I have tried putting in the ip that shows up for the PS3 when i view network settings and it didnt work. I also tried putting the IP I see for my PC when i do ipconfig /all and it too didnt work. I am going crazy!!
What the hell is up with a big game like this and having to forward new ports not already open to the PSN?????
Anyone want to offer some advice?
