Isn't 600-800k for the whole March too low instead? PS3 already surpassed 200k/week WW with Heavy Rain that's a lot smaller than FFXIII.

800-900k for the whole month, with 250-300k for the biggest week and 220-250k for the second biggest one should be reasonable, 1M for the whole month less easy but not totally unlikely. The week ending on 6 March will be around 200k when Japan's up, so doing ~450k overall during the two biggest weeks should be enough to do 800k or more the whole month, ~550k enough for 900k or more, to reach 1M it should do ~600k and have a little drop the last week of March.

I can't believe how many people (3) citing shortage as the only reason that it won't happen...

I don't even think the sales of next two weeks will pass 600-650k, it would be a 50% increase, too big from just software (even if system sellers like GoW III and FF XIII).

Stock is low everywhere, and Sony says stock will stay low through this month (which is a real bonehead move on Sony's part). So I have to vote NO, because if you can't find the console, you can't buy it.

I love all the posts stating stock issue/shortage would prevent it from happening.

Wii would have sold 100+ millions by now if not for stock issue in the first 2 and half years.

Even without stock issue, PS3 will not sell 1 million units in the next two weeks.

Well a large amount of PS3 systems have possibly been held back to be bundled with big games. Games do not get much bigger than FFXIII and God of War 3. We have waited ages for these games to come out. Sony delivers them to us at the perfect time. PS3 Slim $299.

God of War 3 will sell 1.5 million in its first week. Why game everyone has been talking about. it should sell systems. PS3 at $299 very cheap price here. God of War fans will buy PS3 with God of War III. PS3 ZOMG will go through the roof. God of War 3 launch week PS3 to sell anywhere between 450k to 600k.

Final fantasy XIII (PS3) sell 600k in US in first week. Europe should be double this amount 1.2 million easily. Japan will sell some copies as well.. 2 million sales for FFXIII (PS3) sold in Europe/NA launch week + Japan boost. FFXIII should push PS3 sales. 350k to 500k.

My range is for the two weeks for the PS3 console sales is between 800k and 1.1 million. I just went for 1 million it just sounds like a good number.

I am hoping for the best possible outsome for the PS3 sales. The PS3 console sales will get big boosts with these two game launches.
