I feel exactly how you stated in your opening post. I am a closet gamer too. I have no friends that game and don't talk about games to anyone else but people on the internet. I went to the midnight launch of FFXII a few years back and I probably won't be doing that type of thing again.

I feel that if you are different in real life from how you are on the internet then there is obviously some sort of problem.

Meh, do you act the same way as you would in an informal event at an formal event? Do you act differently to your parents? Your bosses? Friends?

The internet is a place where you can fuck around, or pseudo intellectual people will say your sub conscious is allowed to roam free (even though there's even internet etiquette and norms).

I think nobody headshots and tea bags strangers in real life.

that is true, although lots of people do like to be themselves all the time and not afraid to show it

I don't think he is a closet gamer. Last I heard he was writing reviews for a gaming magazine

I hope you guys don't flame. lol, I'm sound like I'm insulting everyone who ever goes to a launch event. But actually, what I'm really saying is that I can't come to terms with my own love for games. I realized today that I'm a closet gamer after all, and despite my claims to myself that I love games, I don't love them enough to be proud of them.

Anyway.... I'm confused so....

first for tickets to bugrimmar's "coming out" party

it hurts at first, but if you just relax, you'll find it's actually quite pleasurable

Maybe it's different in the UK but nearly every male I know in their 20's seems to be a gamer on some level. To be honest I'd almost feel a bit strange telling someone I didn't game lol.

You guys are lucky at my place there isn't a launch event or anything.
I would be lucky if there's a midnight launch.

I think in most parts of the world where people have access the same thing happens, but a midnight launch is just too geeky, and if I found people talking like they do in here(putting gaming companies like gods, trolling other consoles seriously, getting deffensive and arguing a lot with other people) in real life I would think they are loosers.

Its not hiding how you really are, I just dont like the geek fanboy image we see a lot in here, wouldnt like to be like that.

Did you witness any live trolling or fanboyism attacks?
