Forums - Gaming - Your opinion on why Bad Company 2 is better than Modern Warfare 2 please

There has been a lot of hype for Battlefield Bad Company 2 lately. It has been called the answer to Call of Duty MW2 and also the best shooter "multiplayer-wise". I myself was excited to pick this game up. All the trailers and screenshots made me drool over this game. The graphics and sound effects blew me away. After i bought it on the launch date, all ive been playing is the campaign. I tried the multiplayer, but didnt have fun cause there werent many players on my match. After that, i thought maybe i should beat the game first before jumping in to the multiplayer.

As for Modern Warfare 2, I beat the campaign and it was alright, and the multiplayer has always been fun. I cant seem to come up with a reason why Bad Company 2 is better than MW2 tho. I know the battles are bigger and the gameplay is more realistic due to the destructible environments and a more open map to play on. Thats when you guys came to my mind.

Do you guys think its better? Explain to me why you think its a better game, that way i can have more insight on the game to give them a proper comparison. I also ask you this cause i need to know whats good about this game other than what i already know. Thanks!

i don't feel its better. So im with you on this

Both games are good, but not perfect, can we agree on this?

I usually prefer BC2, because I like the destructible Environment thing. And it has dedicated servers on PC, wich is a plus for PC gamers. If you play these games on console, you couldn't care less about that, though.

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

Its a series with a future. Modern Warfare is dead, Call of Duty: Treyarch game is not a good look.

Do you know what its like to live on the far side of Uranus?

Neither is really innovative in the sense of shooter games, but they certainly are good in their own ways, not comparable to each other.

                                       That's Gordon Freeman in "Real-Life"

I prefer MW2, I like the controls more and basically that's number one for me along with gameplay which MW2, well I can't fault it.

On Console, I would saw MW2, never had problems getting in full or near full games, been in a few BFBC2 games where it was me and one or two other people... maps are kinda big for 1v1 :)

Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos

BFBC2 wins for me.

The big focus on teamplay (with squad spawns and the rewards for helping eachother out. Good teamplay is what wins the match above all else)

The different classes (that each have a distinct and important role to play, and yet they are very versatile)

The vehicles (which changes up tactics, both playing with and against)

The destructible environment (which means that you are never sure what will happen next, and you have nowhere to hide)

The levelling system (which doesn't feel broken, unlike the one in MW2!)

The large maps (meaning that you have a ton of ways to go about doing something. You will rarely find a chokepoint, and if you do, usually people are just too stupid to go another way around)

The graphics (okay, this one isn't that much of a highpoint. MW2 looked nice too, and it's gameplay that matters, but it still is a beautiful game, with lush jungles and what have you, and it soundly beats MW2 overall)

The sound (This is quite a highpoint though. I have never heard weapons in a game that sound this good. Every other game with gunfire feels flatter once you have played BC2)

The sound is amaz za zingg!!! It made me yell out a few Rambo lines

whatever kylie said i agree with....seriously

BATTLEFIELD: BAD COMPANY 2 > CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2
