I think its great, quick-paced with still a good amount of strategy. I would make two small tweaks: It would be cool if you could switch who you are directly controlling mid-battle with the A.I. still taking over for the other two members; which leads into my second tweak, a battle is lost only when everyone is K.O.'ed.

I Love FFXIII Battle System it is just like FFX-2 but with more enforces on timing and fast combat with strategic use of the Optima Change to to prevent the leader from dieing and to fill break gauge as fast as possible to finish the battle as quickly as possible in order to rack up high scores like an old school action Game.
