lol, by definitive I take it you mean prettier graphics. Too bad it will get outsold by the Wii version just like every other year.

Now, the real question, is will the PSWand be launching the same time as the game, or will they be patching it in later. Rumor has it the PSWand won't be out until fall (if I remember correctly).

Pfft. You can't play your sales!

Anyway. On a more serious note. This is good news as it shows support for the "Arc". And if Tiger Woods is a launch game, it is a VERY good launch game to show what the remote is capable of.

@Gamerace. PS3 has TEAM golf online!

And the 1st Person Golfing actually sounds awesome.

no, but I can use them to create epic meltdowns and then ban everyone

Damn you and your admin powers!

It looks like the HD consoles have that 24 player online mode, too, if that floats your golfballs.

It remains to be seen how many of the golf courses that ship on the Wii disc will be available as paid DLC on the HD versions, though.

Considering the press release says "Wii™, Xbox 360®, PlayStation®3 and iPhone™" and not "PlayStation®3, Wii™, Xbox 360® and iPhone™," I'm pretty sure I know which was the lead platform here.

So nobody here is surprised to see EA Sports apparently snubbing Natal?

Also, another note. It says the 2011 Wii version has 2 new control methods. Just a guess, but I think EA is making the PS3 version control the same as the 2010 Wii version. This may be due to not having enough time with the PS3 version to fine tune the controls, while with the Wii version they've had 1 extra year.

This is just another one of my theories, but maybe Natal can't really track small fast wrist rotation so it would be gimped controls. EA may think it isn't worth the extra effort, or they may still be working out how to track this rotation properly. Either way, EA wouldn't mention Natal as a control option.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

^Or the Arc just makes far far more design sense for a golf game. They'd have to worry about all sorts of issues with the lack of buttons on Natal, I'm sure they'll figure them out in the future but Arc is without these issues.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

With the series in a decline sales wise, maybe this will help. I expect an Natal version later.

@Carl2291 - And thank God Wii doesn't, because 24 people on WiiSpeak would be horrendous!

Seriously though Wii doesn't have that kind of base that uses the online enough to warrant it.

Natal may still get something. MS may have asked to be the one to reveal Natal games at E3.
However, I think one of those plastic Wii golfclub would be a must for Natal. It wouldn't feel right to swing nothing and an actual club (of some sort) gives natal more to track.
