Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Why is there soo much negativity in any 360 related thread?

I think some members take it upon themselves to bear the responsibilty of defending 360 a little too enthuiasatically.Same for ps3,but ps3 has more fans on this website so there not so predominant.

Microsoft brought online to the mainstream. What has Sony done that was innovative?

Looking back at the PSOne days, breaking out of the "video games are a babysitting tool" stereo-type by opening up/pushing new genres/gameplay and the push for optical formats.  Personally, I'm not too keen on online gaming.  But I respect those who feel otherwise for their own personal enjoyment.

What do you mean they pushed optical drive? Was that before or after Nintendo hired them to bring CD's to the N64?

I dunno what's funnier, that this thread is a microcosm of what the OP's talking about or that libellule's argument boils down to "lots of people agree with me, so I must be right!"

"lots of people agree with me, so I must be right!"

keep your shit out of my mouth plz

When I said the "whole internet", I m referring to the main review websites.
Considering how the "whole internet" is OVER dominated by the american propaganda and has bashed the PS3 to hell (just check the rating of Uncharted1 compared to Halo3 ...), I do believe that, when the same internet people change their opinion then it means something has changed.

To put it clear : despite all anti PS3 biais, it is common knowledge that the more technically impressive games are on PS3.

(see my signature, even jesus kung fu magic say it !)

What does the difference in scores between Halo 3 and Uncharted have anything to do with bias? I am sick of people acting like it's a fact that "game X is better than game Y" and "game X should be rated higher." So critics like Halo 3 better, and that means they're spewing American propaganda? You do know Naughty Dog's an American studio right? I fail to see your point, and would welcome a response from you that doesn't begin with calling my post "shit."

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

First you said "Microsoft brought online to the mainstream." Then you said.  "What has Sony done that was innovative?" Are you trying to say that Microsoft bringing online to the mainstream was innovative when in fact DOOM players on the Atari Jaguar were playing against each other remotely while later SEGA Dreamcast users were playing PSO before there was an original Xbox?  Or were your two sentences totally unrelated to one another?

PS3 fans outnumber 360 fans on this website. Simple.

What does this comment mean?  If you're a PS3 fan you have to be a total jackass and be rude and flame on every post that is Xbox 360 related?  Ok, whatever.

I agree there are ALOT more PS3 fans on this site than 360 fans, but this is ridiculous and just immature.

I try to limit my posts on this site (hence the very low number of total posts I have) because it is just a waste of my time with all of the Xbox 360/Microsoft hate on this site....but I also appreciate the great sales stats every week so I keep coming back.

The sales stats probably are the only reason why ANY Xbox 360 fans still frequent this site at all!  Oh well...

Oh so you are blaming hostile PS3 fans for your lack of interation?

It's hardly a reason, they have no reason to be hostile unless you provoke them, If you start a thread about how much you like Mass Effect 2 compared to Gears of War, I doubt you will even get many comments from PS3 fans, let alond abuse!

Simply put, this is a very good community, the people here are welcoming and there is no reason to withdraw your input, suck it up and stop making silly excuses.

vvv FYI I am a hater of Microsoft and not the 360! If you are a MS fanboy I could argue with you all night ;)

Actually, the original Playstation was suppose to be the SNES CD, not the N64 CD.  And Sony has brought plenty of innovation to the table, like the first dual analog controller and the first system to use DVD's.  In fact, the success of the PS2 helped DVD's succeed in general.  Also, Sony houses some of the most creative developers.

On another note, Microsoft bringing online mainstream and Sony bringing optical mainstream are practically the same thing.  Neither company did it first, and both were extremely successful.

This thread needs to be locked anyway, nothing good has come of it.

No please leave it open. Perhaps then Sony orientated Forum users will post the troll comments in here. Instead of ruining every 360 thread. Since this thread, it has appeased the other 360 threads. It seems people are focusing on this one now. Not aimed at CGI but seriously the rest of the 360 pages have been pretty cleanish with this thread open here.

Thank you.  Hopefully, dsister44 understands this.  He tried baiting, and I tooking the bait, knowing that I'm a "big fish."  And expounding on the optical format subject, I hope most of us know of SEGA's failed attempt to utilize the optical format as an add-on to the Genesis.  This is where Nintendo tried to get a piece of that pie, but wisely backed off because it was too ahead of its time.  But it was unwise was to stick with the cartridge format two gens ago in which SONY started with a CD based system and upgraded its optical storage medium each time to its current use of Blu-ray.  In fact, it seems that recent move is paying itself off as it's been giving developer a greater flexibility in storage space as reported in recent news.

There is a difference between making something mainstream and being the first. They were also the first console in HD. You said that Microsoft bought there way in and weren't innovative. That is wrong! They are as innovative as Sony any day.

I NEVER said that.  Your display of mistaken identity is a sign of your haste and short-sightedness.  Lack of credibility.
