Most of those games have really long play sessions or campaigns and a very dedicated base. What's really amazing when you think about it, is that it only takes an average of 3 minutes to Brawl, which shows that this game is seriously addictive because 9m people are brawling 1500 times on average!!!!

Some people don't have the time or the money...

People without money don't buy many games... hence why the consoles have attach ratios of 7 or 8 (which is actually higher than many past consoles in the middle of their lives) even though there are some of us who have dozens.

People without the time don't get chance to play the games they have... I have heard many people on here say thay have a games backlog, with games barely started... this, among other things like new buyers, brings average game times down.

Phisheep is probably one of the biggest anomaly.... 900 hours of Endless Ocean, compared to the ~10 or 11 hour average. (well that's the UK average, but it is similar across other regions)

I haven't actually figured out yet whether changing the country setting adds your playtime to more than your home region.... perhaps my 350 hours of Mario Kart has been recorded as 350 hours in each of 8 regions (yay 2800 hours of Mario Kart)

Why the heck are all three Harvest Moon games on there. That's....disturbing.

Fire Emblem is the game I spent more time on my Wii. Something more than 130 hours.

I'm sure I'll have even more than that by the time I'm done my second playthrough (which I haven't started yet).  That 70 hours was from my first playthrough alone.

Brawl is a beast.

I had to go and check and it actualy is 196 hours.

Guitar Hero III is 132 hours.
