god collection is a huge exception people need to understand that.

You mean, like this?

maybe.

Unless you meant that it's playable on the ps3, then yes, yes they should.

he meant remastered in HD i think

Back when MGS4 was released PS3's were still backwards compatible with PS2 games. It really wouldn't have made that much sense then.

Futhermore, Konami did release the Metal Gear Solid Essentials Collection just prior to MGS4.

Oh really, damn, maybe I should search for my answers before asking on forums. But thanks though.

Well, it's still worth discussing if it would be worth Konami's time to release a "Metal Gear Solid Collection" ala God of War now that PS3s aren't BC with PS2 games any longer.

For instance, would they include Metal Gear Solid for PSone for completions sake and call it a trilogy or simply leave it at MGS2 and MGS3 since PS3s can still play PSone games and the original is already available on PlayStation Network?

Or perhaps the rumors about Sony planning to either reintroduce PS2 BC through a firmware update or add PS2 games to the PlayStation Store are true and we will see word of them soon now that the PS2 has reached the end of its projected life (10 Years).

They need to make a collection all on one BRD.

-to begin with, by now there should have been a "subsitance" like version for MGS4, perhaps called MGS4: existance seeing as one has not even been mention and it's going to be 2 years since the game was released.

so considering they didn't re-release the same game with added contect like they usuall do, I have no hopes for any remastered collection.

Keep in mind the collection that was previously released were just the originals reprinted and released as a collection.
